Sacred Ceremony

What is the point of sitting in ceremony?

Ceremonies are not some modern, new age, “woo woo” trend.

They are an ancient practice that people around the world are finally beginning to remember. It’s waking up in our DNA because it is in our blood, and our collective souls are desperately calling for it to come back.

Our ancestors sat in ceremony. If you go back far enough, across all cultures and lineages around the world….our people gathered with intention.

It was considered a regular, necessary part of daily life.

They sat in circle. They marked transitions and rites of passage. From an early age, they prioritized creating space to turn inward.

Not as a thing to do on Sunday. Not as something “extra.” Not as something “woo.”

But as a necessary skill for being human.

Let’s discuss some of tangible outcomes for gathering in ceremony, beyond the feel-good experience of looking at pretty candles and flowers. 😊

Ceremony strengthens your inner voice so you live in your power, rather than overwhelm and confusion.

Over time, many of these practices were dismissed, suppressed, or lost. Along with much of our connection to the Earth, to our bodies, and to the deeper wisdom within us.

We were taught to live in our heads. To overthink, to second-guess, to look outside of ourselves for answers.

And slowly…we forgot how to trust ourselves.

(It’s not by accident that this makes us easier to control.)

Ceremony creates a space where that outside noise quiets. Where you can actually hear yourself again. Where you can feel your own connection to spirit.

When you make it a regular part of your life, your intuition strengthens, just like building a muscle. You begin to live life in a state of flow, guided by something so much greater than the ordinary human mind.

And that’s when you take back control over your life. You step into your power, no longer living in confusion and fear.

Ceremony elevates your frequency.

Everything in life is energy. What you experience as reality depends entirely on the frequency you’re operating at.

Think: which radio station are you tuned into? Are you dialed into a frequency of scarcity, lack, and fear? Or a frequency of joy, abundance, and love?

And look….this is so much more than just “think positive” and “high-vibes only.” Spiritual by-passing doesn’t work and just makes the transformation you desire take longer.

This isn’t woo-woo spirituality. This is quantum physics.

Sitting in ceremony is one of the most powerful, immediate ways to shift your frequency.

People walk into the room (in-person or on Zoom) and can immediately feel the shift.

You don’t have to understand it.
You feel it the moment you enter.
Your body softens. Your mind quiets. Something in you remembers.

My job as a ceremonialist is to be an energetic pillar for these high frequency states. I set the space and hold the frequency of unconditional love, and then anyone who enters my field will naturally begin to calibrate to that frequency.

Ceremony creates opportunity to release what is no longer serving you.

As previously stated, we can’t just “love-and-light” our way to higher frequencies. To become lighter, or hold more light, we need to let go of the heavier, dense energies that are weighing us down.

Ceremony is a wonderful time to release what is no longer serving us, in a safe and supportive environment.

So we set aside time in each ceremony for a release ritual, where you can intentionally choose what you are letting go of.

But sometimes, it just happens naturally as a by-product of being in the energetic container. You may find yourself gently crying (or even laughing) during a guided meditation or transmission, without even knowing why.

You don’t have to understand it or process it logically for it to work, you just feel lighter and know it’s done.

You don’t have to figure it out.
You don’t have to do it “right.”
You just have to be willing to sit in the space.
